School of Design – Computer Aided Design (CAD)

A computer-aided design (CAD) program helps prepare you for an exciting future.

The computer aided design/architectural drafting program offered by Westwood College focuses on hands-on training to give you the skills needed to secure an entry-level position in the areas of architectural or CAD drafting or AutoCAD® design.*

You’ll receive the benefits of small class sizes and faculty members who pass on knowledge from their years of experience in the industry. Along with basic CAD training, classes include instruction in architectural design, residential and commercial construction, digital walkthroughs and portfolio reviews.

Students can describe basic architectural principles and have a solid foundation of knowledge to prepare for AutoDesk® AutoCAD®, AutoCAD® Architecture, AutoCAD® Civil 3D®, Autodesk® Inventor™ and Revit® Architecture certifications.**

**Graduates without experience in the field will likely start in entry-level positions. Position titles and responsibilities may vary by hiring company
**Westwood prepares graduates for certification. Graduates wishing to attain certification must take and pass any applicable test/exams.
