Students with a passion for the law are attending a paralegal college in Texas.

Westwood College provides a Paralegal associate degree program that can be completed in as little as 20 months. Students are able to dive into course topics such as Legal Research and Writing, Interviewing and Investigation, and Business or Contract Law for Paralegals.

After graduating from the Paralegal program, students can prepare effective legal documents, conduct preliminary investigations and demonstrate high standards of ethics. The majority of opportunities for students with paralegal skills are with private law firms, and the U.S. Department of Justice also provides many opportunities in this field.**

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, employment for the paralegal field is expected to grow 28 percent over the next decade, much faster than the average for all occupations.
